Our Story


Kinnear was founded by Scottish immigrant Jim Kinnear in 1985. Using skills he learned in the shipyards of Liverpool, Jim began upholstering furniture, boats, and van interiors, as well as small aircraft seating. When he retired in 1993, Jim passed the business on to his daughter, Marie Kinnear, and his son-in-law, Brent Patterson, who he had trained for several years.

Brent and Marie took the business in new directions, transforming it from a furniture upholstery shop to a distinguished company in the field of aviation. Today, Kinnear provides a full range of aircraft covers and SGSE. Working with its customers, Kinnear creates innovative solutions to protect aircraft.
